Has God ever laid anything on your heart that you thought was far too hard? Or just not you? Or I’m not that good and can’t do this?
That’s what happened to me roundabout May or June. I believe God was asking me to gather the church in prayer.
- Isaiah 56:7 For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.
Recently we crossed the Mangaohoi Stream (The Jordan) to take up residence in The Hub. We believe God has plans for The Hub in this community and will use the people in The Hub to carry out his dreams and plans.
- Psalm 25:14 Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him. With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises. (TLB)
God shares his secrets with his friends!! We know that Abraham and Moses were both friends of God. Abraham spoke with God about Sodom and Gomorrah. If we can find 50…45…40…30…20…10 righteous men will you save the city? The Lord said YES. But He found none.
Have you wondered how Abraham knew that God was going to destroy the city?
Well God shared his secrets and plans with Abraham. And Abraham interceded on behalf of the city.
- What a privileged place to be – a Friend of God!
Would you prepare your hearts just as Joshua prepared his people by circumcision on the Jericho side of the Jordan? Would you set your heart aside to come closer to Abba Father? Would you set your focus on intimacy, familiarity and love of Abba, together with the authority and order of Father God?
Prayer is where we will initiate change and new beginnings for this community and for ourselves and our families. Set the time aside to join with us.
