Tree Awamutu
A pop-up Christmas tree forest in the heart of town — 9–11 December.
What is Tree Awamutu?
Tree Awamutu is a free pop-up Christmas Tree forest where local businesses, families and community groups construct a tree that represents who they are and what Christmas means to them.
What does Tree Awamutu cost?
While Tree Awamutu is a free event that you can attend with your family and friends, or on your own, there will be an opportunity to make a donation or koha towards the running costs of the event.
Where is Tree Awamutu?
Tree Awamutu is hosted by ZION at 38 Churchill Street, Te Awamutu.
Where should I park?
There is limited parking on Churchill Street, but our location backs onto the local parking lot, with entrances on both Churchill Street and Mahoe Street, providing plenty of space to park.
Disability Access
ZION volunteers will ensure that visitors who are wheelchair users are able to gain safe access to our building.
A town lit up for Christmas
It began as a simple way to light up the town.
