“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
What challenges me about this scripture is that how our visible, tangible faith becomes evidence of Gods existence!
In a time such as this where stress, frustration, anger and confusion tends to come to the surface more easily, my challenge and your challenge is how we show peace, love, patience, joy and kindness to those we have interactions with and to those that we are in lock down with.
I’m asking myself… How do I speak to those at places like work and income, the bank, IRD and those in the health profession plus others? How am I seen on social media? Negative, distrusting, snarky or arrogant, short tempered or impatient or am I showing evidence of the God in whom I have placed all my faith.
My prayer for you and I is that our evidence of the God in whom we worship is shown by the fruit of our speech and our actions.
This is our time to shine, our time to show the love of the Father by the evidence of our faith in Him.
