WELCOME FROM PHIL AND KATHY STRONG
Welcome to Zion People. It is our delight to have you with us and we extend to you our warmest greetings.
We believe that each person has a calling inside them that will bless others when it emerges. Our greatest excitement as leaders is to help people to find their God-given passion and see it exercised in serving others. Our approach to leadership is the empowerment and release of people; this is what the Apostle Paul calls “equipping God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”
We were both born in Wellington and moved to the Waikato region in 1998. We’ve been a part of ACTS Churches NZ since then, serving and leading at Activate Church Hamilton (formally Eastside Church). That church was our home until July 2015 when we were asked to come to lead ZION (known as North End Church at the time) – an opportunity we were very excited to accept!
We invite you to journey with us and hope you discover your calling as you walk with us. When you are fully alive in your God-given mission we will be blessed as a result and God will be glorified.
