There is less than four weeks, less than 30 days, or less than 720 hours that separate us from 2k25. However you want to look at it, I find this last stage of the year to be a challenging time.
Already my remaining weekends and most weeknights for the year are all booked out with activities, festivities, celebrations and chores. With these tasks obviously comes the need for constant planning which requires more time. Then as an introvert it becomes draining yet again as tasks are almost all exclusively social events.
To add to the chaos and stress at this time of year I personally have had health issues which continue to soak up more valuable time having to see doctors, take tests and even time off work.
Amongst all of the stated fun above, I was reminded of Matthew 6:33-34 NLT, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
I think this passage is a very timely reminder for this season of the year. I think it’s also been a timely reminder for myself again to stop or to pause during my day and have alone time or prayer with God. Exercising the skill we practice in the beginning of temple gatherings or in EHR sessions.
In this brief period of time to be able to pause, the stress, anxiety, and just generally the chaos and reconnect with God is so important.
I would love to encourage you to participate in pausing during your day to reconnect with God in this chaotic season.
It seems only fair when He is the reason for the season!
Blessings,
Kelan
