A Call to Prayer

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
[2 Chronicles 7:14]

We are in a season of “re-calibration”, where the Lord is calling His people back to the way of living with Him that he prepared for us at the beginning of time – we are to walk with Him each day in conversation.  When we come to the Lord in prayer we come to seek His agenda, His wisdom and revelation so that we can be enabled as the carriers and implementors of His desires.  Prayer is agreement with heaven.  A life of faith is obedience to His instructions.

As we gather in homes, unable to venture into the wide-world, we can still gather in prayer.  When we spend time in prayer with the Lord He re-calibrates our thinking in line with His.  That means no worry, no anxiety, no fear of lack, and no fear of sickness or death!  When we walk and talk with our Heavenly Father He brings our heart, mind and spirit in line with His.

You should have more time to pray, but only if you eliminate the extraneous distractions around you!

In the midst of COVID-19 lockdown, we are gathering for prayer using video technology which is free and (relatively) easy to use.  You can plug in to this prayer at 7:00am or 7:00pm each day.  Just click here to join.  We pray in line with the leading of God’s Holy Spirit.  You can participate in a way that suits your confidence – even silent agreement strengthens our corporate prayer.

Every christian is called to pray.  Let us make the most of this opportunity the Lord has created for us to surrender to Him, to allow him to re-calibrate our way of living in line with His desire.  May each of us walk closer and closer with Him each day.

Stay safe, and stay connected with God.
