When God speaks, we should take notice.
Recently, in our monthly prayer meeting at the ZION Hub, we heard the Lord say, “Pray Bold Prayers!” This is clear in scripture on numerous occasions, but for us it appeared at the end of Acts 4.
We see the prayers of the early church recorded by Luke as follows; “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
Instantly, the Lord answered their prayer; “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:31)
I believe we are in a time where the Lord is calling us higher in our expectations. I believe we are in a time where the Lord wants us to rise above the previous levels of our faith to see new and wonderful things come as a result of our praying together.
What if the building shook as a result of our praying?
We know the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2:1) was the answer to their prayers, as they had been hiding in the upper room seeking God for many days.
When God speaks, we should be careful to discern between what is of the flesh and what is of Spirit.
One of the key ways we see the Lord speak to us in Corporate Prayer Meetings, (meaning a formal gathering of praying people.) This may be because it’s a lot safer when God speaks in a meeting as there are many ears to hear and many wise hearts to discern right from wrong.
If you want to hear from the Lord, I suggest you take yourself to a prayer meeting!
Let’s pray bold prayers together!
Come on, Zion people, let us be a praying church who meets with the express desire to see God move in powerful ways. We are called to partner with Him, to align our hearts with His, and agree with the Rhema Word of God to see the earth affected by heaven. We are invited to be partners in what God is doing through our prayers!
When the environment around us shakes under the power of God in response to our praying, you can be sure people will turn to God.
