The days go by in our bubbles, with a weird sense of suspension in time, especially for those at home constantly. Our connections with each other have changed; some of them are better, some not so much. It’s not easy without face-to-face relationships.
- Have you had enough?
- Do you want to give up?
- Do you want to go back to what it was before?
What about your faith in Jesus? What about when our lives are just plain hard and it’s difficult to see an ending or a resolution? Yes, giving up part way through something is an option all of us are faced with, often. So what can we do about it?
Galatians 6:9-10 instructs us ‘And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all, especially to the household of faith.’
There may be those of you who are struggling with this ongoing isolation, and some who might be having a great time. Whatever the case can I encourage you to reach out to someone you know, or perhaps don’t know well, to encourage and to give hope. Pray for each other, and spur each other on, because as we care for each other Jesus himself says in John 13:35 – ‘by this all will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another’.
With God’s love we can look outwards and forwards to this seasons end and bless others on the way. Will you join me and do that?
Blessings,
Janet
